DiRuzza, Deborah “Debbie” (Netto) of Revere, MA and Freedom, NH passed away on July 1, 2018 at the age of 64.

Born and raised in Somerville to the late John and Virginia Netto. Beloved wife of 39 years to Joseph “Joe” DiRuzza of Revere and the owner and operator of Signarama in Saugus. Devoted mother of Danielle DiRuzza of Revere and John DiRuzza of Revere and the owner & operator of Motor Worx in Peabody. Adoring niece of Doris DiRuzza and her late husband Jack of East Boston and Jean DeMarco and her late husband Anthony of Revere.

Free meals all summer for Somerville youth

Somerville’s Fourth of July holiday schedule

On Wednesday, July 4, City offices will be closed for the Fourth of July. Starting on July 4, trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be on a one-day delay for the rest of the week. There won’t be street sweeping and parking meters and resident permit parking enforcement won’t be in effect.

Somerville YMCA CIT/LIT Job Readiness Program

Plenty of spaces are still open for our second session of the Somerville CIT/LIT Job Readiness program.  The program serves approximately twenty four, 13-15 year olds in a 4 weeklong session. With partnership from the Somerville YMCA, Somerville Community Youth Program, Healey Community School and the Teen Empowerment Program this motivational program provides youth leadership, team building, and job readiness training activities.
