Of the 11 restrictions removed during this outage, one was the oldest in the system at over 900 days old

The MBTA  announced the completion of critical track work on the Green Line, which removed 11 safety-related speed restrictions. Crews accomplished this critical work due to unencumbered access to track areas while Green Line service was suspended on the B branch between Copley and Babcock Street, on the C branch between Copley and Cleveland Circle, and on the D branch between Copley and Brookline Hills from February 20 to March 8.

As Las Cafeteras embarks on a three-month national tour supporting A Night in Nepantla, audiences will discover the boundaries of tradition and innovation, forging new connections in the spaces between worlds.

Las Cafeteras’ original members Hector Flores, Denise Carlos, and Jose Cano lock arms and hearts on A Night In Nepantla by inviting audiences to explore the concept of “Nepantla,” a Nahuatl word meaning “in-between” or “in the middle.”

Annual Maple Boil Down

The 25th annual Maple Boil Down took place last Saturday at the Growing Center in Somerville. Maple syrup lovers were able to taste fresh local syrup collected from the sugar maple trees from Tufts Campus, while learning the process of sugar mapping, witnessing the process of boiling sap into maple syrup, and connecting with other maple syrup lovers. Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) applauded the enactment of a Fiscal Year 2024 government spending bill that includes $10,036,031 in federal Community Project Funding for 11 projects across the Massachusetts 7th Congressional District.
