Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the city’s Planning, Preservation, and Zoning Department invited Somerville community members to a public meeting to help inform the final draft of the Brickbottom Neighborhood Plan. City staff will present the most current version of the plan and answered questions from the community.
This Sunday, July 14, there will be several road closures and detours in place in Davis Square and the immediate neighborhood to facilitate the ArtBeat festival. Please observe posted signage.
Road closures and detours will be in place from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will likely be traffic delays around Davis Square, so drivers are advised to avoid the area, if possible.

Vallone, Frances T. “Fran” (Bertocchi), 95, of Somerville died calmly June 27, 2024 after much recent health turmoil in her life. Lifelong resident of Somerville. Steadfast wife of the late Robert “Bob” Vallone and last survivor of all her and Bob’s siblings and in-laws. Daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Croci) Bertocchi.
