EPA to conduct phase 1 removal of PCBs and other contaminants, investing $3 million in matching funds into site

On Thursday, August 6, 2020, Somerville Police received a call for a report of a male with a gun inside of an apartment on Highland Ave. Upon arrival, the reporting party advised officers that the suspect was in the back room and was pointing a gun at a female’s head. Officers relayed this information to SPD Dispatchers, and advised Dispatch that all cruisers, as well as Sgt. Marino, were on location.

Mayor Joe Curtatone, the City Council, the Somerville Arts Council, and the city’s ResiStat program invite Somerville’s artists and the cultural community, as well as all interested persons, to join a virtual town hall to discuss challenges faced by the arts community that have been amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as possible solutions. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 15, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Survey highlights impacts of elder mental health outreach
