Girls Varsity Volleyball had a slow start this season, but lately it’s been just the opposite. The team has been on a winning streak and is headed to the playoffs.

After losing in the first round of the playoffs vs. Pentucket Regional with a score of 34-0, the Somerville Highlanders Varsity Football team played a constellation match back home at Dilboy Stadium last Friday, November 8.
Home team collects second win

The Somerville High School Highlanders won last week’s football conference game vs. the Medford Mustangs with a final score of 21-16. The game was played last Friday, October 25 at Hormel Stadium.
SHS Football loses one to Everett

Your Somerville Highlanders were back in action last Friday evening, October 18, 2019 as they played one of the best teams in the MIAA, the Everett Crimson Tide. The game was played at Everett Memorial Stadium with kickoff at 5:00 p.m. Somerville dropped a heartbreaker to Everett with a final score of 50-7. The team’s only touchdown was scored by Quarterback Louis Montina, which came in the first quarter.
Somerville resident assists in Women’s National Football Championship win

Somerville resident Vanessa Goh has recently won the Women’s Football Alliance National Championship with her team the Boston Renegades. Born in Davis, CA with a B.S. in Environmental Science from UCLA, Vanessa is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Sustainability at Harvard University Extension School.
