*
- Vehicles must be moved from city lots by 3:00 p.m.
- Parking meters back in effect at 3:00 p.m.

- Parking stickers must be visible by 1 p.m. Wednesday and vehicles cleared of snow by 1:00 p.m. Thursday
- Recreation, library programming resumes normal schedule this afternoon
The snow emergency will be lifted effective at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., vehicles parked in any city lot will have two hours to move out of the lot. Vehicles not moved from lots by 3:00 p.m. Tuesday may be ticketed and towed so that crews can safely plow.
SHOVELING
Sidewalks must be cleared within 6 daylight hours following the end of snowfall. With freezing temperatures overnight tonight creating icy conditions, we encourage property owners to clear sidewalks early. Sidewalks must be cleared to a 3-foot-wide path down to the pavement, and snow may not be shoveled into the street or bike lanes. If you are able, please consider helping neighbors who may need shoveling or other assistance.
BIKE SAFETY
Bike lanes and cycle tracks will be plowed as part of our snow removal; however, they may have snow or ice buildup for the duration of the storm and for the hours immediately afterward. Please use caution when riding a bike and consider using other modes of transportation.
CLEAR OFF YOUR CAR, PARK RESPONSIBLY
Once the snow emergency has been lifted, parking permit stickers must be visible within 24 hours, and cars must be cleared and shoveled out within 48 hours. As always, parking within 20 feet of an intersection is prohibited. With snow creating difficult turns at intersections, this is even more important to ensure safe passage for emergency vehicles. Please be sure to leave proper clearance on side streets so that emergency vehicles can pass.
TRASH & RECYCLING ON SCHEDULE
Trash and recycling pickup will remain on a normal schedule for the rest of the week.
STREET SWEEPING SUSPENDED THROUGH FRIDAY
Street sweeping has been canceled for the rest of this week, but will resume during the week of December 9.
METERS IN EFFECT AT 3:00 P.M.
Meters will be in effect as of 3:00 p.m.

All library programming is on a normal schedule. Recreation programming will resume this afternoon. The veterans rink on Somerville Ave. is open for public skating from noon to 3:00 p.m. today, and scheduled activities will resume thereafter.
