The annual rededication ceremony of the Bunker Hill Monument took place this past Monday, June 17.The original monument was built on land own by the Lodge at Bunker Hill. The WM of the Lodge, Zachary Atwell, gave one of the speeches at the ceremony. Afterwards, he and a small gathering laid the wreath to the memorial afterwards.

The original monument was built in 1796 by the members of KSL Lodge. Later, after keeping it up, in 1845 the monument that stands there now was built. Originally formed in Charlestown in 1783, it moved to Somerville in 1894. Today, King Solomon’s Lodge is going strong with a growing membership.
