Pride Movie Night: ‘Love, Simon’

On June 13, 2019, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times

As part of Pride Month, Somerville Media Center – SMC and Assembly Row at Assembly Square celebrates our LGBTQ+ communities by presenting the movie screening of Love, Simon on Saturday, June 15, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Baxter Park, Assembly Row.

The MPAA rates “Love, Simon” PG-13 for thematic elements, sexual referenced, language and teen partying.

Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it’s a little more complicated. He hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay, and he doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.

Schedule: 7:00 p.m., community organizations will be on site handing out giveaways and to share educational resources; 8:00pm, the movie begins at dusk.
