Landlords and prospective landlords are invited to attend a free workshop to learn about home improvement programs that they may qualify for, resources to help with landlord/tenant disputes, and information on fair housing laws. This workshop will be held in April by the Office of Housing Stability and the Somerville Fair Housing Commission to mark Fair Housing Month.

The City of Somerville and the Community Action Agency of Somerville will provide information about 0% interest and, in some cases, forgivable loans available to income-eligible landlords and/or tenants for home renovations and rehab; funding available to upgrade heating systems; and information on how to reap the benefits of the MassSave program. Information will also be available on fair housing laws and services to assist with landlord/tenant issues.

This workshop will be held on Wed., April 24, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., in the Central Library auditorium, 79 Highland Ave. For more information, please contact Bryant Gaspard, Program Specialist-Fair Housing/Operations, at 617-625-6600 ext. 2578 or bgaspard@somervillema.gov or Brooke Murphy, Housing Case Manager and Landlord Outreach Coordinator, at 617-625-6600 ext. 2583 or bmurphy@somervillema.gov.
