Haunted houses, Halloween stroll included in weekend programming for Halloween 2010

The  Somerville Police Department  will host a series of Halloween events throughout the weekend of October 29th – 31st, including a Haunted Houses and a Halloween Stroll for children of all ages. Saturday, October 30th, the Police Department will host a Haunted House at the West District Neighborhood Substation, at 1154 Broadway in Teele Square, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Finally, on Sunday, October 31st, the annual “Halloween Stroll” will take place along the Community Path from Davis Square to Lexington Park beginning at 12:00 P.M. All community members are invited to each event.

The Somerville Police Department also announced that parking will be available at the Tufts Administration Building (TAB), at 167 Holland Street, for the duration of the event.  Treat bags will be given to the first 300 attendees.  The Recreation Department Haunted House will include games and sweet treats for all attendees.

The annual Halloween Stroll, which kicks off at noon from Statue Park in Davis Square, includes a costume parade for children along the Community Path, culminating with games and activities in front of Lexington Park.  For more information on any of these events, please call 311.
