Lifelong resident and all around nice guy Vinny Vincente, together with his brother Tito Vincente, operated Goode Gas on Pearl Street for decades and built up a huge following that exists even today.
Finally, after working part time on various cars in the shop these past several years, he’s decided to join his brother Tito in retirement.
We think that retirement is going to be short lived though. We bet Ed will be calling him in to help out. The Gas station has quite the reputation of doing great work and not over charging.
We here at The Times wish Vinny the very best in retirement. He is one of the all-time nicest guys around. Always with a smile and some smart answer to get you to smile or a memory of the old days when he and his family moved to East Somerville, on Pearl St., way back in the early 60’s.
Good luck Vinny, we will miss you. We wish you the very best!
Vinny is the friendliest and most-helpful person that I have ever encountered in a service station – or anywhere else, for that matter.
Wishing him the absolute best!
Damn good people. Wish them all the best. Vinnie’s unstoppable – snow, rain, anything – he would be out there with a smile and kind words for everyone he met. They don’t make them like that anymore . .
He could be back in 7 days, one week.hope to see you soon
Vinny will always be remembered by me for his kindness to my dad.
One of he nicest gentlemen I have had the pleasure of knowing. You deserve to enjoy and relax. Will certainly miss that smile and great personality. Hope to se you around. Don’t go to far.
Your friends, Peter & Jackie Veri
