Robert McWatters, a lifelong resident of Somerville, former City of Somerville Ward 3 Alderman, and a 34-year veteran of the Cambridge District Court Probation Department recently retired.

Two separate parties held this past week were well attended by hundreds of fellow workers, friends and family members to congratulate McWatters for a job well done.

He was honored by the judges of the court he served for his dedication and service over the past 34 years. Our own Bill Shelton will be doing a more extensive piece next week to honor McWatters and his work.
