Police officers were dispatched to a Wallace St. location last Sunday on reports of a possibly drunk male banging on a resident’s door.

Upon arrival, the officers reportedly saw a male known to them as Dylan Shallow walking down Wallace St, one house down from residence in question.

An officer stopped Shallow and asked him if he was knocking on the door. Shallow reportedly replied that he had been drinking and he thought it was his friend’s house.

The officers then spotted another male coming down the street towards them. An officer approached the man, who told him he was the one who called the police and that he had observed Shallow going in and out of several driveways.

The witness reportedly said that he saw Shallow go into a certain driveway on Wallace St. and then he heard the sound of glass breaking.

The witness further stated that he then saw Shallow exit the driveway and continue down the street.

An officer went into the driveway and observed a large rock lying in front of a broken basement window. Police were able to wake up the resident of the home, who confirmed to them that the window was not broken prior to the events of that night.

According to police, it did not appear that Shallow had attempted to enter the basement.

Police informed Shallow that he was being placed under arrest for destruction of property for the breaking of the window.

Shallow was handcuffed and upon searching him, he was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana and a bag of pills.

When the pills were removed from his person, Shallow reportedly said that they were his mother’s Xanax pills. Shallow was informed that without a prescription he would also be charged with possession of a class E substance. A count of the pills revealed there to be 65 in total.
