Chief Fire Engineer Patrick Sullivan III was awarded a citation of commendation at the latest regular meeting of the Somerville Board of Alderman last Thursday. Sullivan is retiring from the Somerville Fire Dept. after 32 years of service.

The citation reads as follows: “Be it hereby known to all that the Somerville Board of Aldermen and Mayor offer their sincerest commendations to Patrick Sullivan III, Chief Fire Engineer for the last three years, and a dedicated Fire Fighter for thirty-two years, on the auspicious occasion of his retirement. He served, and led, the Somerville Fire Department with courage and distinction at all times. The Aldermen and the Mayor offer their grateful appreciation and extend their best wishes for a happy and healthy retirement. Offered this 25th day of January, 2018.”
