Somerville police and Sony worked together in a three month investigation to nab a Play Station thief last week.

In
January, a Somerville man told police his Beacon Street apartment had
been burglarized and his Sony Play Station 3 had been stolen.

Detective
Paul Duffy contacted Sony and used the company's tracking process to
locate the Play Station at 387 Salem St. in Malden, police said.

On
Saturday, a search warrant was executed at the Malden address, as
detectives looked for the Play Station and allegedly found it in the
apartment of Gelrick Phanor, 24, who was sitting directly next to the
player, police said.

Phanor allegedly made incriminating
statements to arresting officers. He was arrested and charged with
receiving stolen property over $250.
