Drive by shooting in East Somerville injures one

Police are looking for two individuals involved in a drive by shooting early Saturday morning in East Somerville.

Police said a 39-year-old Somerville man was shot and seriously wounded at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday morning at Pearl and Myrtle streets.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for non life threatening wounds. Police are looking for a late model Toyota 4 Runner SUV, or similar type vehicle, light in color with tinted windows. The car had two occupants and fled east toward Sullivan Square, police said.

The incident is being investigated by the Somerville Police Department with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police, crime scene services unit.
