Poisonous Elegance
She wore her booze like Chanel N˚5,
With elegance and passion.
She danced in its aroma.
The sharp taste of liquor followed her constantly.
The poisonous liquid sits in a large bottle next to her.
It was her passenger,
Her sidekick.
With it, she was invincible.
Monsters yelled to her:
“I don’t know who you are anymore”
She ignored the yells though,
She knows who she is.
Disapproving faces gawked at her
And as she raised the handle of Grey Goose
to her yearning mouth,
She gawked back.
The warm poison slid down her throat
Ferociously yet with grace, all at once.
The feeling consumes her,
And soon she is submerged in her elegance.
The monsters were gone
And so were the gawkers.
Time stops
And so
does she.
