I am Sharon Rose and last Wednesday 2/22, I was in Davis sq. getting onto my MBTA Ride lift. I put my rollator walker on the lift with my packages. (My once a month trip for prescriptions and what not). I went to back off of the lift as I was going to take the stairs up. My foot caught the edge of the side of the lift and I went down hard. I had a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder in 2014 and a revision of it in Dec. That is all I was thinking was that I would have to have a 3rd surgery.People started milling around with the weather being so nice, some said they were calling 911, however the T driver told them not to call that I was OK and would get up on my own.
Well when I fell it was on my right side I rolled over onto my left and I was laying there holding my right arm by the wrist in tremendous amount of pain. I was unable to put my arm down. Also ended up with a black eye and bent the frames on my glasses.
Long story short I was in the hospital overnight, My Orthopedist looked at the X-rays and decided to let the 2 mm break heal on its own. Although it is just at the end of my implant I am concerned that something might have shifted.
I just want to thank all of the wonderful people that stopped and stayed until I was put into the ambulance. I have no idea who any of them were, but you know if you are reading this. I appreciate all of the help and comfort you gave me. I will be 62 on 3/7 and up into this I have never broken a bone.
If you can edit this enough to print so the people will know how much I appreciated their help I would be grateful.
Thanks
Sharon Rose
