After a slow start to the season, the St. Clement’s girls volleyball team can finally savor the taste of victory.

Led by several solid performances, the Anchorwomen defeat Mystic Valley Charter in a 3-0 sweep. Senior Chrissy Novembre added 11 kills including four blocks in the final match. “All 3 games were very close,” said coach Lisa Regione.

Sophomores Allison Caloggero and Kristina Ofoedu) played exceptionally well making diving hits, which allowed Christy to have the opportunity to spike the ball hard. The team is playing very well as of late but the overall record does not show it.

Entering the Mystic Valley game with a 0-4 record, the team decided to start playing with more heart and less thinking. “I think since we have such a young team that one error can bother a player for the rest of the match,” said Regione.
