Mammoth Hands
You bit my pretty red heart in two.
You pierced through my delicate skin,
With your thick mammoth hands.
The blue veins burst
from beneath your leather knuckles.
You ripped my insides out.
You stomped down.–
Digging the worn heel
of your combat boots,
Deeper and deeper…
Into my subconscious.
You never take those damn things off.
You have crippled me.
— Brittany Ambrosino
