The Sun
I love to rest my head in the sun. Sitting on a chair with my head on my elbow or in my bed. Whenever the rays shine down into my eyes. I love to let it drape my skin in a gold blanket. All shadows in my mind disappear and my heart slows. Like drifting in the sky, my mind feels soft and free. My worries escape me as I close my eyes. To feel the strength of the beams is like being hugged. Comfort in the brightest spot on earth. Under the gleaming yellow ball that holds such power and greatness–we sometimes forget to admire the world around us. In the small act of laying my head under its gift, my mind and body suddenly feel at ease and I know that for now…everything is fine.
