A staple in Teele Square since 1999, this friendly neighborhood Irish pub is a fun place to grab a Guinness and a burger and catch up with friends.
When you first walk in, notice the exposed brick wall and the bar area made up of beautiful wood. The bar itself is a 1930’s pharmacy counter that adds much character to the space.
They offer a fantastic list of rotating craft beers on tap, bottles and cans. Not only into beer? No problem, they also have a full bar offering wine and liquor as well.
There are so many great choices offered on the menu, like fish and chips, lightly battered and fried with a crispy coating covering a light and flaky white fish. Bangers and mash with an onion gravy, creamy mashed potatoes covered with two sausages and a rich flavorful gravy, I was so full when I was done, but craved more! The chicken potpie, in my opinion, is the quintessential comfort food. I like to refer to this one as a somewhat deconstructed potpie. It’s served in a bowl with a generous amount of chicken, vegetables and herbs mixed together in a rich thick base all topped off with flaky puff pastry. Lighter fare is offered as well, you can get appetizers, like the ever so popular braised brussels sprouts with blue cheese or fried pickles, fish sandwich, sausage sandwich with sauerkraut, and burgers with a variety of toppings. They even have dessert.
As a side note, I think it’s important to mention that this is a scratch kitchen, meaning items served are made in house unless otherwise mentioned.
If you’re looking for great friendly service and freshly made food, I suggest you try it out for yourself.
