English Professor William Harney of Endicott College believes the eyes are the windows to the soul. Focus your eyes on this poem:
Custody of the Eyes
Once, in Brittany,
While my wife and I peered from a parked car,
A nun pedaled her bike
Along the village causeway,
Her habit floating up, two
Baguettes in a wicker basket
Strapped above her back wheel.
We saw her but what did she see, her eyes
On a swath of road
Wide as her handlebars,
Her mind on God?
