SCATV will join other community media centers across the country for the newly sanctioned free speech holiday called “Community Media Day”

Thursday, October 20th — 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.

NOW WHAT IS COMMUNITY MEDIA DAY?

Community Media Day is a new annual celebration of voices that brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all individuals to have their voices heard. More about national efforts are online here: http://www.communitymediaday.com/.

On this day SCATV will open up their space from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., offering many fun-filled activities for the general public to learn more about Somerville’s premiere media center. They will have an outdoor pop-up radio booth, free hands-on youth media making projects, Somerville Neighborhood News Info sessions and news desk photo opps, TV studio training, green screen and PSA recordings and more.
