The fiftieth reunion of Somerville High School class of 1966 was held this past Saturday night at the Four Points by Sheraton Wakefield Boston Hotel.
There was a good turnout of the class together with spouses and guests, with over 300 attending.
It proved to be a great night of meeting and old friends and renewing old friendships, with some looking the same as always.
The reunion committee handed out 3×4” ID’s with names and pictures of what you looked liked in 1966.
Many have not moved out of the city too far, some living off 93 going up to NH line, some all over the Greater Boston area, and then some others who still live here in Somerville.
The reunion was planned well and every detail covered, making it a memorable evening for all, right down to the little bags of M&M’s with various SHS sayings on them along with the year 1966.
Everyone had a great time talking about high school then and what our kids experience today and not so long ago.
It was fun singing to all the hits of the 60’s and filling the dance floor with many who were present.
Congratulations to the committee for an excellent job well done. See you all at the 55th reunion.
