The Somerville Arts Council continues one of its most popular citywide events with Puppet Palooza! Events like this allow the community to participate, interact, and engage in non-traditional ways in untraditional venues while cultivating the idea of Somerville as a cultural arts incubator without walls.

The remaining events for this year’s edition are as follows:

A masque of magical stories from the Brothers Grimm, Italo Calvino, and Celtic legend, performed to music as old as the yarns themselves, but as new as the telling. Hark to the Hobgoblin, laugh with foolish Arlecchino, learn the lore of the Druid, understand the language of animals, and let the siren spell of the mermaid’s song enchant you into a wondrous world of rags to riches, the hero’s quest, and true love lost and found. Join us for charming tales of fantasy, unlikely romance, and lessons about kindness and generosity. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Website info: http://www.behindthemask.org.
