Filming for a major Hollywood movie, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, is taking place from June 28 to July 1 at On the Hill Tavern in Somerville.

The film, titled Central Intelligence, is scheduled for a release in June 2016. The producers chose the location to film a few scenes depicting a barroom brawl.

Location scouts checked out the site back in March and after inspection by other members of the production staff it was selected for the filming. In April, crew members performed a run-through of the fight sequence with technical staff and stunt coordinators.

On the Hill Tavern’s owner and staff are reportedly excited by the prospect of being a part of the film making process.
