A Somerville man was stabbed during the course of verbal exchange on Wednesday in the Porter Sq. area of Cambridge, according reports.

Police are searching for the suspect, Stephen Picard, 45. According to police reports, Picard is homeless and was last seen wearing an orange shirt and glasses.

A confrontation between Picard and the victim resulted in a knife cut to the victim’s arm, police said.

Reports indicate that Picard is often seen riding a mountain bike.

Cambridge police advise the public not to approach Picard if he is spotted, but call them immediately via 911 or at 617-349-3300.
