A large turnout this past Wednesday, November 19, for freshman Alderman Ward 3 Bob McWatters, at Sally O’Brien’s in Union Square. Well over 100 friends and family members turned out to show their support and appreciation for a job well done in his first year as alderman.

He talked briefly about how he has come to answer the concerns of residents in Ward 3 over the past year that have reached out to him for help in many ways. Bob has earned the title of “The Constituent Alderman” here in Somerville. Reaching out, communicating and getting the job done is what it’s all about. A surprise guest and good friend showed up, newly elected Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan, who herself grew up in Ward 3 with family members still living here in Somerville. Marian has known Bob and his family for many years. Pictured above, Ryan is shown with McWatters on the left and her other good friend and supporter Donald Norton on the right. Ryan’s campaign coordinator here in Somerville this past election was Bob McWatters, with Norton helping in many ways assisting with her campaign.
