On Father’s Day, Take Dad out and help end poverty in Somerville

Bring Dad to a Somerville restaurant on Father's Day and the restaurant will make a donation in his honor to the Community Action Agency of Somerville.

CAAS is Somerville's anti-poverty agency. By treating Dad on Father's Day, you'll be helping other dads and moms to keep a roof over their family's head, to get the child care they need so they can earn a living and to move toward being able to support their families on their own.

Ball Square Café, Caesar's Pizza and Subs, Café Belo, El Potro, Sabur Restaurant (brunch), Sweet Ginger, and Yak and Yeti are all participating in the charitable event. More locations may be added: check the CAAS web site, www.caasomerville.org, for a complete list.

"We thank all the restaurants and all the families who will be contributing to CAAS on Father's Day," said Kimberly Smith-Cofield, Executive Director.
