Hundreds of records can be purchased at the sale.

Union Square will turn into a hard rocking flea market Saturday featuring vintage music memorabilia and fashion, handmade crafts, and more.

The Rock and Roll Yard Sale, showcasing antique goods from around New England, is coming to Somerville.

The Yard Sale creates a marketplace for artists and music sellers to offer items that aren’t sold in stores. Dealers, collectors, hoarders, crafters, and artists will sell vinyl records, compact discs, concert posters, vintage accessories and clothing, and other hand made products.

The Somerville Arts Council worked with Chris and Jennifer Daltry of What Cheer Antiques and Vintage to produce the event. The Daltry’s curate the yard sale with their unique taste that has a rock and roll flair. The duo produces up to six yard sales a year in Somerville and Providence, Rhode Island.

Chris Daltry’s folk-rock band, the Mericans, will perform live at the event, and a DJ will spin vintage vinyl. Meagan O’Brien, arts council coordinator, said, “It’s basically like going inside a record shop that is outside. It’s beautiful, and a lot of vintage stuff is being sold, and people trade CDs. It’s music and records and rock and roll.”

The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m.
