As of last week, the Somerville Alibrandis held a 2-0 lead over East Boston in the season’s semi-final series.

In game 1 it was Somerville 2, East Boston 0. It was a pitchers duel at St. Peters Field in Cambridge that had a lot of hype heading into the game.

Chris McKenzie, a 13th round draft pick, pitched 7 shutout innings for Somerville allowing only 2 hits and striking out 7.

On the other side of the field East Boston pitched Jeff Allison, a 1st round draft pick and he only let up 2 runs in the first. Bobby Barrett drove in the only 2 runs in the game.

In game 2 the score was Somerville 2, East Boston 1. In the 10 inning baseball game Somerville’s Chris Foundas pitches 9 innings allowing only 1 run on 3 hits.

Brian Tanguy pitched the 10th inning for Somerville putting the Knights down in order and recorded the win. East Boston’s pitching on Tangerhlini and Octner was just as good.

In the bottom of the 10th Somerville’s Anthony Perry gets an infield hit. Next pitch he steals 2nd and an overthrow gets him to 3rd. Mike Maguire singled up the middle to drive in Perry and the Alibrandis walk off in the 10th.
