Veteran Somerville High School Track & Field Coach Dave Dickerson was recently inducted into the Massachusetts Track Coaches Hall of Fame.

A 1970 graduate of Somerville High, Coach Dickerson began coaching in 1983.

He was named Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association (MSTCA) Coach of the Year in 2008, has coached numerous State Champions and All-Scholastic winners, and has led the SHS Track & Field program to 13 League Championships.

Coach Dickerson has also been a catalyst in organizing the elementary track meets and summer camps at Dilboy Stadium for many years.

Congratulations on a much-deserved honor are in order.
