Pulitzer Prize winning poet Franz Wright, who has published more than 12 volumes of both his own poetry and translations, including his 2004 collection Walking to Martha’s Vineyard, will read at the 2005 Somerville News Writers Festival.

Wright is one of the great poets working in America today, said Douglas Holder, the arts page editor of the paper.

The festival grows bigger every year, and landing Wright is proof of that, he said.
