The challenger running for the Ward 5 school board seat, Mark Neidergang, will kick-off his campaign with a backyard fundraiser June 9 at 29 Conwell St. from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Neidergang said the event will have food, entertainment and children’s activities with a short program at 7 p.m.

The suggested donation is $25, but everyone is welcome with or without a donation, he said.
