Loss prevention agents at the Stop & Shop store at 775 McGrath Hwy. had a particularly busy time on their hands last week.
On Monday, July 8, Christopher Marshall, 28, was reportedly spotted as he took a shopping cart full of goods totaling $335.46 in value past the checkout area, allegedly attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.
Then, on Saturday, July 11, the loss prevention agents stopped another man, Craig Thomson, 50, after he had filled a reusable Stop & Shop bag with items valued at $351.17 and attempted to leave the store without paying in a similar manner as Marshall, according to reports.
In each instance, police were called to the store and the two men were placed under arrest and charged with larceny over $250.
Marshall was additionally booked on a warrant charge of operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
