Burke and Maiocco endorse Mackey for state Senate

Medford City Council President Stephanie Muccini Burke, and Councillor Bob Maiocco have endorsed Democrat Josph K. Mackey for State Senate. 

Stephanie Muccini Burke in endorsing Joe Mackey for the open State Senate seat said, “Joe Mackey is the very clear choice to be our next State Senator.  Joe has the drive, the honesty and integrity to go to Beacon Hill and fight for our community.  I want my next State Senator to understand the issues facing local governments and be willing to have the tenacity to make bold changes to the system.  Joe is that person!  Joe Mackey’s deep understanding of public education, health care, public safety and the financial needs of our State Senate district, make him the ideal successor to the greatly admired Charlie Shannon.”

Mackey said he valued the endorsements of the two councillors because of their knowledge of and dedication to their community.
