O’Donovan wins Ward 5

Sean T. O’Donovan, the incumbent Ward 5 alderman, defeated his challenger John L. Sullivan. Sullivan was recently endorsed by U.S. Congressman Michael E. Capuano, D-Somerville, but it was not enough to push him into the Ward 5 seat.  O’Donovan garnered 1293 votes to Sullivan’s 790.
