Chief: ‘Absolutely’ no foul play

Acting Chief of Police Robert R. Bradley was adamant today in his assertion that the individuals who disposed of $31,535 in seized funds are innocent of any illegal activity.

"I am absolutely certain that there was no wrongdoing," said Bradley. "There is no suspicion of foul play.

Bradley said the individuals involved in the incident have access to the evidence room on a daily basis.

"It’s just one of those things," he said. "Accidents happen, now we’re dealing with whatever fallout that occurs and making sure this never happens again."
