Somerville Police officers were on scene of a call of a tree down at Somerville’s Winter Hill Yacht Club on Foley Street when they were hailed down by construction workers of Aggregate Industries who were locked in a work site at the new Assembly Square Mall project behind The Big Kmart.

The work crew for Aggregate Industries were doing construction work at the Assembly Square Mall project when they were accidentally locked in the site during Wednesday afternoon’s storm.

Apparently, other contractors at the site evacuated the area earlier during the storm without realizing that other crews were on site.

Later that evening management from Aggregate Industries contacted security and unlocked the gate to release the stranded workers.
