The Somerville News person of the Week, Brian Roche

Meet Brian Roche, a life long resident and graduate of Somerville High as well as the New England Culinary Institute (NECI). Presently, he is the Executive Chef at Lolita Cocine & Tequila Bar and Restaurant at 271 Dartmouth Street in Back Bay Boston. Brian is the son of James (Brian) Roche and Virginia (Ginny) Roche of Gilman Square and, of course, points north at Old Orchard (not to far from Ocean Park).

If you know his father and mother then you know they have a wonderful sense of humor and are great people. It’s not that much of a fall that young Brian has a great sense of humor as well. Brian works very hard and we hear he loves his work. He’s accomplished a lot in his chosen field of work in the food industry. Brian and his lovely lady Rachel recently celebrated the arrival of their daughter Isabel and by all accounts, judging from the pictures in Facebook, Brian and the entire Roche family are extremely happy. If you by any chance see Brian around the city say “Hi.” But if you decide to go into town and have a great meal and nice night, we hear you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you let Brian know you enjoyed yourself because you will.
