An 18 month-old child allegedly kidnapped from her East Somerville home by an aunt yesterday has been found, according to police.

Hayden Augustin Laurent was allegedly kidnapped by her aunt Ketia Valmont after a family dispute over the child’s return to Haiti, police said. Laurent had been scheduled to return to her father’s care in Haiti today.

Police said they found Laurent at her home on Melvin Street. Three adult females and one juvenile female were arrested. One is charged with kidnapping by a relative, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a stick or bat, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.  The remaining three, one who is a juvenile, are charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.  Their names will be released after their identities have been confirmed.  They are expected to be arraigned tomorrow in Somerville District Court.

Valmont‚Äôs vehicle was found late last night by Acton police, acting on information from Somerville Police detectives.  Valmont, the child and another woman had left the area in a gold color mini van shortly before Acton police located Valmont‚Äôs car, police said.

During the morning hours, detectives continued to search for the child and were lead back to the child‚Äôs East Somerville home where they located both the child and Valmont.  When police attempted to arrest Valmont, they were allegedly assaulted by occupants in the house.  Two detectives sustained injuries when they were struck with a bat.  They were transported to Mass. General Hospital.   The child appears to be unharmed.
