Early Friday evening Somerville Police officer Sal Fusco chased and apprehended an alleged shoplifter that fled from the scene of a store located in Twin City Plaza.

The  suspect  was seen snipping magnetic alarm sensors off store products with a pair of cutting pliers in Sally’s Beauty Supply then walking out the store’s door undetected by security equipment.

The suspect was later transported to the Somerville Police Station for booking.
