CPCU Credit Union awards $4,000 in scholarships to recipients of the Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship.

CPCU Credit Union Scholarship’s Committee awarded four scholarships of $1,000 each to college-bound Credit Union members during their annual meeting held on March 8, 2012. Scholarship recipients for the 2012-2013 school year are Leandra Furtado of Peabody, Jacqueline Homsi of Somerville, Kevin Ngan of Natick and Michaela Clare Peterson of Cambridge. Scholarship recipients are selected based on financial need, scholastic merit as well as their level of community and school involvement. “The Credit Union is proud of the academic scholarship and achievements of all our applicants, especially our scholarship recipients.  We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors,” commented Isaac Machado, Scholarship Committee Chair.

Named after former board members for their dedication to attaining one’s educational goals, the Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship Fund has been a part of CPCU Credit Union since the 1980’s.
