The City of Somerville is constructing an ice skating rink (the “Project”) at Conway Park, which is located on Somerville Avenue between Park Street and Garden Court. Environmental remediation is required for the Project. The City intends to use a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfield Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund (BCRLF) to fund the environmental work required for the Project.

The city has on file a Community Relations Plan (CRP) and a cleanup plan describing the environmental work needed for the Project. The public is invited to provide written comments to the City regarding this remediation work within fourteen calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.

CRP and cleanup plan materials are available electronically on the City’s website and/or may be reviewed at the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development , City Hall – 3rd floor, 93 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA 02143 during the following business hours: Monday through Wednesday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ; Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
