We hear that Torpedo Lady recently filed a “restraining order” against co-worker CW, and at the hearing on Monday the court/judge was dismayed that the Union wasn’t involved for either side – we heard that the judge dismissed the case, saying the basis of complaint was unfounded. Has CW been out of work without pay (unjustifiably) going on a few weeks now? What’s going on down there at the DPW and with the Union?

Last weeks fundraiser for State Representative candidate (correction Рprint and original online version of this accidentally omitted the word "candidate") Bob Trane was at PJ Ryan’s in Teele Square Рattended by over 125 people from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Рlots of local residents from the district, both Medford and Somerville sides, were on hand to wish Bob the best and to donate to his campaign. Also present, without paying, was well-known Secular PDS member KB Рyou know that writer for the Farm Team – who walked in, right past the ladies at the front table collecting donations. Apparently KB thought the event was FREE and didn’t realize it was a private party, or did he? He ignored the lady at the front table when she tried to get his attention, to pay and walked right by people to get to the rear of the place where the food was Рwe even saw him eat some food as well. Heck, he was there a long time for desert, talking to no one. Maybe he needs to learn some manners Рwhen there is a political function going on, you might want to either bring your checkbook or just don’t go. Maybe he’s spying for those secret PDS’ers (you know they have been known to hold secret meetings at secret places) Рhe was seen taking down notes, probably noting who was present Рeveryone in the place noticed what he was doing Рwe thought it was very humorous. Maybe he thought he was being a real reporter for the Farm Team or the Secular Progressives. It was a private affair meant to raise funds for Bob, but for KB Рwho has referred to us here at Newstalk as McCarthyists Рthinks like all those Secular Progressives only one way – their way – it’s too bad, we know it’s not all 15 of them, just the ones that need to show manners. Some of us are wondering if the Farm Team will be announcing KB’s employment as a reporter, since he enjoys proclaiming himself to be so much (the Boston Globe has already denied his employment there vigorously when asked).

Speaking of State Representative candidate (correction Рprint and original online version of this accidentally omitted the word "candidate") Bob Trane, he is in the process of opening his headquarters over in South Medford Square at 389 Main Street Рlots of locals over there are obviously happy he’s running Рwe here at Newstalk are happy he is, just ask anyone of us that live in that district.

Another good friend of ours and popular businessman John from John’s Auto Sales recently was in hospital for surgery this past Tuesday; we wish him well and a speedy recovery. Also recovering is John Williams Рthe father of that popular blonde parking control officer Mary Williams Killeran. John’s surgery was successful and he is on the mend.

Was that the new Police Chief riding around the city with his mountain bike patrolling the streets? He has even been monitoring the police radio 24/7 and has been known to show up on calls unexpectedly all hours of the night and day. Keep up the good work chief.

Happy Birthday greetings to popular Attorney Rich DiGirolamo, who was thrown a surprise party Sunday. Rich is one of the nicest guys in the city and truly loves Somerville. Also Happy Birthday to Anna Bounopane Рowner of that new popular restaurant in Ball Square РPescatore’s Italian Restaurant & Seafood Grille, which was recently voted by Boston Magazine, Best of Boston series. Also a special Happy Birthday to Kaitlin Norton on the 7th Рcelebrating her 14th birthday. Kaitlin has been enjoying her summer visiting with her father Jamie and grandparents Donald and Patricia.

Still missing their dog! Please be on the lookout for a reddish brown dog Рit’s about 36 lbs, medium-sized with big floppy ears Рher name is Cleo. She is very scared and timid around humans and has been missing since July 27th from Cedar Street. If you see her, please call 978-697-6973 to get her returned to her owner.

Nothing like moving into a neighborhood and trying to be King of the Hill! That’s what seems to be going on down in Union Square around Somerville Avenue and Bow Street Рapparently a handful of new neighbors are disgruntled over a business that has been there for many, many years. Choices Nightclub, which has been there a long time without complaints, now has some new neighbors making rude and racist remarks about the clientele on certain nights – we’re wondering if they’re trying to force an already existing business right out of business. The club has no outstanding violations and has always met all local and state requirements. The owner is a nice guy and has run a good business, he pays his taxes and obeys the law here in the city – and he’s made it clear that he is not going away either.

Don’t forget the Farmer’s Market going on every Saturday in Union Square Рlots of fresh local farm produce Рcome and support Massachusetts’s farmers.
