Possible link between Davis Square bank robberies

Somerville police are looking  for the perpetrator of two bank robberies in Davis Square that occurred in the last week. While not officially labeled as such, Deputy Paul Upton did acknowledge that both robberies were “similar.”

On Tuesday, November 29, a lone man walked into the Winter Hill bank on 5 Cutter Ave., passed a note, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money at approximately 2:45 p.m. No one was hurt.

On Black Friday, November 25, a “similar” incident occurred at the Citizens Bank around the corner in Davis Square. The suspect passed a note, grabbed the money, and fled at around 12:30 p.m.. No one was hurt in the robberies.
