The King Organization presented Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone and Alderman Maryann Heuston a one thousand dollar check made payable to the City of Somerville for it’s Youth Services Program at it’s grand reopening ribbon cutting ceremony  Monday.

Boston Radio Station WAAF 97.7/ 107.5 were on hand at the event to celebrate the restaurant’s new look after major renovations took place over the summer. The fast food restaurant chain also recently announced it’s more healthy options menu with fewer calories.

This particular McDonalds restaurant has been located at the Twin City Plaza Shopping Center in Somerville for the past 27 years and is considered a land mark at the city’s gateway.
