The Somerville High School Outdoor Awards were presented at Dilboy Stadium on Monday, June 27. The cookout was sponsored by the Trac-Pac and attended by the SHS girls track team members, Superintendent Tony Pierantozzi, Principal Tony Ciccariello, Assistant Headmasters Joe Burke, John Oteri, and Athletic Director Nicole Viele.
The Outdoor awards for 2011 go to: High scorer, Nicole Genard; Unsung hero, Kim Joseph; Most improved, Laxmi Spearing and Jessie Vasquez; Meranda Spirit award, Gelynne Berger; Coaches award, Ashley Murphy; Assistant coaches award, Stephanie Gullage; Rookie of year, Melissa Baptista, Kellie Hagerty, and Alison Kaba; Captains plaques, Tayla Plett, Siobhan Murray, Iaritza Menjivar, Sasha Garczynski, and Ashley Murphy.
