The Somerville Board of Aldermen stands with local heroes Fire Captain William Fitzpatrick, Firefighters William Costa and Robert Hodnett, Police Sergeant Warren Chaille, and Officers Anthony Manzelli and Eduardo Soares for their actions in trying to save the life of James Welborn. These officers braved a chemically hazardous environment while extricating Welborn, and some had to go to MGH for decontamination. All officers have recovered.
